According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention all health centers and labs will be obliged to release the results within 24 hours of conducting the test.

The decision will be effective as of Tuesday.

The ministry said it will monitor the compliance of health facilities with the decision and will also work with all competent health authorities to ensure that all test services are provided in accordance with the specified controls.

If testing centers do not comply with the new regulation, they will be banned from conducting PCR tests and will be fined.

The cost of the PCR test would be covered by the individuals themselves if they don’t have any symptoms. In other cases, the cost would be covered by the government-funded programs.
