As far as cordless vacuum cleaners go, I’ve primary used Dyson’s machines for almost 4 years now. I consider them the leaders in the cordless vacuum segment. So, when Samsung told me to check out their Jet 75 cordless vacuum, I wasn’t sure what to expect.

Samsung isn’t just any brand, right? When they enter a segment, they do it to take over and here too, there seems to be a lot of potential. So, let’s get right into it.

Samsung Jet 75 vacuum

Body and Design

One of the first things I liked about the Samsung Jet 75 as soon as I got it in my hands was the comfortable hand to use the machine. Compared to its competitors with triggers to activate and deactivate the machine, the Jet 75 comes with a typical on/off button. Now this can be considered a pro as well as a con. While triggers give you finger/fatigue while vacuuming, they also do enable you elongating battery life as much as possible. A button on the other hand is great to avoid the fatigue but does use up battery in those pauses when you’re moving something which needs to be cleaned. Obviously, you can switch the machine off but sometimes, it’s just a few seconds so you leave it on. I know this might seem like nit-picking but when using the machine on the daily, it does turn into a bit of a decision.

The 0.8l dustbin of the machine is completely removeable and pretty easy to clean. The entire bin can be removed off the machine and thoroughly cleaned. On the body you also find the 3000mAh battery which is removeable too. Weighing about 1.6-1.8kg (depending on the attachments), the Samsung Jet 75 isn’t the lightest machine on the block but isn’t difficult to lift and clean blinds or the top of cupboards too.

Function and Daily Use

Now as far as the machine itself is concerned, the Samsung Jet 75 is powerful. With 200W of suction delivered through its 550W-powered Digital Inverter Motor, the vacuum didn’t need a do over for any home-based dirt or dust through my time with it.

During my daily use, the Turbo Action brush got used the most. The brush rotates around 3750 times a minute as far as what Samsung tells us. The brush is on a 180-degree swivel, which makes using it around the house really easy. In a house with 2 people with long hair as well as a dog, the brush does a pretty good job of not retaining her off fur inside the device itself. As far as cleaning is concerned, with one click, you can open the Turbo Brush and clean it quite easily.

Now the soft action brush wasn’t my most favourite tool to use because in a place like the UAE, I found that it gets dirty far too easily. That being said, of course it’s great to use in scenarios with a lot of hard flooring.

A mention of course goes to the Mini Motorised tool, which is what you would use if you were trying to give your sofa or your rug in harder clean. This is what you will use to remove non-living allergens and well, frankly I love it. Specially having a pet at home, it’s a hust have device.

There are many other tools, such as the Flexible tool, the Combination tool of the brush with the crevice tool and there is also the dock which is extremely well made. It’s in these tools where I notice that Samsung has put in that little extra creativity where it’s made more useful for users. For example, let’s take the charging dock. Depending on what kind of user you are and whether you want to dock the charger on a wall or on a tabletop, you can do both with it. I always appreciate when the brands add these small things which make a difference to the individual user.

Samsung Clean Station

Speaking of appreciating innovation, I love this next one. If you’ve ever used a vacuum, whatever that might be a cordless one, or a corded one, a fancy one or a cheap one, you know that the biggest problem is with cleaning the bag or the bin itself. Well, Samsung has a solution for that.

With the Samsung Jet 75, I also got to check out the Samsung Clean station. Very simply speaking, this is a dustbin for the bin on your vacuum. But this one is smart, it does the entire job automatically.

With the Samsung Clean Station, you get another dustbin the vacuum, which is slightly different from the original one and has a unique bottom. Once you put a full dustbin into this Clean Station, the device automatically detects the bin and empties it out for you. Now, as you read this, you might be wondering, isn’t this just a luxury gimmick? No! Because if you’ve ever cleaned a vacuum bag, you know the amount of fine dust that comes out from the bag is just so difficult to clean.

Inside the clean station you find another bag which automatically gets filled up and the machine lets you know when the bag is completely full and needs replacement. Now yes, the bags are custom made and need to be bought from Samsung, which is an added purchase over a long run, but if you see the amount of ease and lack of dust that is created when cleaning your vacuum dustbin, you’ll agree with me on the fact that this is a useful accessory.

There are often offers where a Clean Station comes free with one off Samsung’s Jet series vacuums, so maybe keep an eye out for that one.

Should you buy the Samsung Jet 75 vacuum?

Currently the Samsung Jet 75 is on offer (until 31st October 2021) on samsung.com in the UAE. At the discount price of Dh1784 (original price Dh2099), I don’t see how the Samsung Jet 75 isn’t a powerful option to keep your house clean. It comes with all the functions you need, at a much more affordable price compared to its competition. Add the clean station for the Dh599 and I think you’ve got a winning combination.
